The smell of an EOBR by any other name – ATA softening stance?

I think Todd Dills of OverDrive Online is accurate when he says it appears that the ATA’s Bill Graves is softening his stance on EOBR’s – referring instead to ‘Electronic Logs’ as the imperative.  Maybe the EOBR mandate will also be seen as too heavy handed – and too much ‘BigBrother’ by the time it comes to pass?  This potentially has significant implications for the mutlitude of small carriers and independent Owner Operators represented by David Owens’, NASTC (National Association of Small Trucking Companies) that are going ahead on their own with the adoption of electronic logs on their own with providers such as BigRoadBigRoad eLogs partners with NASTC

NASTC – great for all small trucking fleets!

There is a good article in 10-4 Magazine by Kim Grimm about NASTC (National Association of Small trucking Companies) and the positive benefits small trucking fleet operators get through membership.  I attended their annual convention recently and was struck by how truly committed David Owen and his staff are to improving the operating success of their member fleets, and choosing vendors that are just as committed to this same cause.

BigRoad Celebrates at the 25th Annual NASTC Conference

The National Association of Small Trucking Companies (NASTC) just celebrated the 25th anniversary of its annual conference last week in Nashville, Tennessee and BigRoad was extremely excited to be a part of the event this year – having been a strong supporter of the association since we became a company back in 2012.

If you are a small trucking company and haven’t heard of NASTC, you should check them out. Led by President David Owen, the NASTC team has been acting as an advocate for small trucking companies since 1989.
