You never know how an inspection is going to go. You could get waved through or you could have your truck inspected with a fine-tooth comb. When put to the test, the BigRoad Mobile App and BigRoad Web App have enabled thousands of drivers to pass the toughest roadside inspections with ease. Getting audited isn’t something that most fleets look forward to – it can mean a lot of running around, headaches, and time away from driving. However, that wasn’t the case for WAT Supplies. After using the BigRoad Mobile App and the BigRoad Web App to improve their operations, WAT Supplies actually volunteered to be audited by the Ministry of Transportation (MTO)!
The Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) recently announced that their annual International Roadcheck program will be taking place from June 7 – 9, 2016. It is expected that over 70,000 inspections will be conducted over the 72-hour blitz period. Meaning – the odds of your truck or a truck within your fleet getting inspected are pretty high.
Sergeant William Collier of the Tennessee Highway Patrol will be joining BigRoad for another webinar focused on compliance. Taking place this Thursday (March 10) at 2:00 PM Eastern, Sgt. Collier will discuss how drivers can fly under the radar and avoid investigations through compliant operations.

The July 10th guidance by the FMCSA clarifying just how legal electronic logbooks and electronic signatures are (spoiler: they’re extremely legal) has been a long time coming.
