Usually they don’t really pan out for the whole year – just look at the drop off of people going to the gym after February. But I say stick to it! Top 5 BigRoad Blogs of 2015

This past year saw a lot of changes in the trucking industry, particularly with the regulations. The ELD Mandate was finally published after being scheduled and rescheduled throughout 2015. Although the use of ELDs is not effective immediately due to the grace periods, it will definitely have a huge impact over the next coming years.

So it’s not a surprise that BigRoad’s Top 5 Blog Posts are almost all related to the ELD Mandate. These posts were the most viewed on the BigRoad blog and received a ton of shares/likes/comments on our social media networks, particularly Facebook.

Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town (in a Big Rig)

With Thanksgiving behind us, December is a hectic month. The closer we get to the holidays, the more frantic it is: buying presents, baking, cooking, events with friends and family and more shopping. All of the items we need for these activities are available – usually the only thing missing is time!

This holiday, not only should we leave out cookies for Santa, but also say a thank you to truck drivers. They lend a big hand (and rig) to ensuring all the food, gifts, supplies, parcels arrive at their destinations on time. It’s actually a lot of work!

ELD Mandate Clears – So How Does This Affect You?

On Tuesday morning, it was announced that the ELD mandate has cleared the White House and is set for publication with the Federal Register. It has been speculated that the ruling will be published for the end of November.

So how does this affect you?

Well it depends. Are you a driver? Do you manage a fleet? Do you manage safety and compliance for your company – tracking down drivers on a daily basis to correct form and manner errors on their paper logs?

Roadrunner Superstar! Judy Chosewood – Making More Money with eLogs

It’s a Convoy!

On Saturday October 17, BigRoad attended the Truck Convoy in Paris, Ontario which is a two-day event benefitting the Special Olympics. It was such a great event! We met a lot of different people – drivers, volunteers, families and even representatives from the Special Olympics organization itself.
