Drowsy driving is responsible for 328,000 crashes every year in the U.S., resulting in 6,400 deaths and 109,000 injuries.

Indeed, drowsy driving is so dangerous that, according to the National Sleep Foundation, over 1 in 6 fatal accidents on U.S. roads is directly caused by it. The same study found that 10 to 20% of bus or truck crashes happen due to a fatigued driver.

Obviously, this is a huge concern both for employee and public health, and for your fleet company’s bottom line.

Interview With Jeff Niziol – Driving Daisy

Jeff Niziol was on the corporate side more than five years ago, but today, he is a school bus driver in Southern Ontario, Canada, driving students from three different schoolboards.

He does two-hour shifts in the morning for a high school and an elementary school, and then two elementary schools in the afternoon. He also does occasional charter work, serving a variety of clients, from school events, to community functions and even weddings.
