BigRoad’s DashLink ELD Certified on the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) Registered ELDs List

Owner-Operators and Fleets Achieve ELD Mandate Compliance with the Simple, Affordable, and Flexible DashLink Electronic Logging Device

WATERLOO, ON | MAY 30, 2017

BigRoad – A Fleet Complete Company, a leading provider of electronic logging and compliance solutions for the transportation industry, has certified their DashLink ELD as compliant with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) ELD mandate requirements.

BigRoad completed extensive product development and testing to ensure the DashLink electronic logging device met the technical and functional specifications outlined in the FMCSA’s ELD mandate Final Rule. BigRoad is now listed as an approved ELD vendor on the FMCSA’s list of registered ELDs.

“We’re excited to announce that our DashLink ELD is now certified,” said Jake McGuire, Vice President of Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success at BigRoad. “As with many of the reputable providers in this industry, we didn’t rush to certify our product. With over 480,000 users, it was important to take the time to build the best solution available for fleets and owner-operators to achieve ELD mandate compliance. Certifying our product gives our customers the added confidence that they’re working with a trusted provider.”

As part of the ELD mandate, the majority of U.S. commercial motor vehicle drivers using paper logs or electronic logs are required to transition to electronic logging devices (ELDs) by December 18, 2017. The FMCSA is directing fleets and drivers to only purchase ELDs from vendors certified on their Registered ELDs list.

BigRoad provides a simple, affordable, and flexible plug-and-play solution to achieve ELD mandate compliance. With no upfront hardware cost and a low monthly licensing fee, DashLink is one of the most affordable options available.

DashLink plugs into the vehicle’s diagnostic port and connects via Bluetooth to the popular BigRoad Mobile App on drivers’ cell phones or tablets. The logging process is simplified by automatically recording drive times to create inspection-ready logs, eliminating form and manner errors. Via the BigRoad Web App, fleet administrators have instant access to driver logs to gain proactive insight into HOS compliance through the Roadside Inspection Risk Dashboard, reporting, and driver availability.
