It’s National Truck Driver Appreciation Week (NTDAW) – a week to recognize the hard work and dedication of over 3.5 million men and women working in the transportation industry today. Spearheaded by the American Trucking Association (ATA), National Truck Driver Appreciation Week will run from September 11 – 17, 2016.

Thank A Trucker This Week

NTDAW2016.pngTrucking. It’s probably one of the most thankless jobs out there. It’s not that people don’t appreciate truck drivers…it’s that no one really takes the time to realize how essential truck drivers are to their day-to-day lives.

Do you ever stop to think about:

  • How those Florida oranges made their way up to your grocery store in Ohio?
  • How the stuff you ordered on Amazon ended up at your house in just 2 days?
  • How the gas you put in your car got to the pumps at your local station?
  • How many hours and miles someone has to drive just so you can snack on your favorite chips?

Probably not – but you should and this is the week to start doing it! There is a truck driver behind pretty much everything that makes your life easier and more enjoyable: groceries, clothing, electronics, medicine, building supplies, etc.

You name it – a trucker delivered it! So remember to take some time out this week to say thank you for everything they do! Tag your social media posts with #ThankATrucker and #NTDAW

Thank You Truck Drivers!
