National Truck Driver Appreciation Week

This week is National Truck Driver Appreciation (NTDAW) Week! A week long celebration established by the American Trucking Association (ATA) to honour the 3.5 million professional truck drivers for their hard work and dedication. From September 10^th-16^th, make sure to show some appreciation for all that they do!

Trucking Moves America Forward is an organization supported by the ATA that focuses on spreading a positive light on the trucking industry and all that it contributes to the economy. They do this by educating the public through the media, advertisements, and countless campaigns. In honour of National Truck Driving Week, take a look at this video they released below:

Love’s Travel Stops

Love’s is well known for showing their appreciation every year for Truck Driver Appreciation Week. This year, they have turned the week-long event into a one month-long celebration! For the entire month of September, every time drivers swipe their My Love’s Reward card they have a chance to win 10,000 My Love’s Rewards points (a $100 value). The ultimate prize? Southern Recipe Pork Rinds

Southern Recipe has launched their 6^th annual Truck Driver Appreciation campaign! “Rig on the Road” is a contest that runs until September 17^th. Drivers are encouraged to take a photo of each state they drive through with a state landmark. Each photo submitted will be judged by a panel of judges for the best overall photo and the winner will take home $2500.

For each state that is represented, a donation will be made to the St. Christopher Fund Trucker Relief Fund, which provides support to sick and injured truck drivers. A chance to win money and support a great cause! Check out the photos already submitted and share your photos here!

Pilot Flying J

Pilot Flying J is also rewarding their customers and celebrating Truck Driver Appreciation week by giving away a total of 100 million myRewards® points until the end of September. Truck World

Truck World is hosting Driver Appreciation Days in Hubbard, Ohio with events taking place on each day of Driver Appreciation Week. There will be free lunch for drivers and live music Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

If you’re looking to show off your rig, Truck World is hosting their Annual Head Turner Truck Contest. The contest’s grand prize is $1000 cash and it takes place on Monday, August 11^th! You can visit their website for a more detailed schedule.

BigRoad

That’s right! BigRoad knows how hard truckers work everyday and unfortunately, this hard work often goes unnoticed. We want to take this opportunity to share their stories and highlight the drivers out there that work hard to make sure we’re taken care of!
