With the electronic logging device (ELD) mandate five months away, it’s time to start thinking about your options when it comes to ELD mandate compliance. By December 18th, 2017, anyone that is currently required to keep record of duty status (RODS) must be running a compliance solution. Time is running out and it’s a good idea to find what solution best fits your needs.
ELD Implementation National Tour
There is a lot to know when it comes to the ELD mandate and people still have a lot of questions. The FMCSA recently announced the schedule for their ELD Implementation Tour. This tour was developed to educate commercial motor vehicle (CMV) drivers and help them to make the transition to ELDs. At each stop, the FMCSA will host seminars and panel discussions on ELD implementation with an interactive booth where they can answer any questions that people have.

1. The Great American Trucking Show (GATS)
On August 24th-25th, the Great American Trucking Show takes place in Dallas, Texas at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center. You can find the FMCSA at booth #26012 and at their one-hour presentation at the Overdrive Stage in Hall D on August 26 at 1:00 PM.

2. North American Commercial Vehicle Show
On September 25th-28th, the FMCSA will also be at the North American Commercial Vehicle Show at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia. There is no current information on their booth location but stop by the BigRoad booth (#354) and see our ELD solution in action!
3. California Trucking Show
The California Trucking Show located in Ontario, California takes place October 14th-15th at the Ontario Convention Center. The FMCSA is hosting a 60 minute presentation on ELD omplementation on Sunday, October 15th. You can visit the FMCSA at booth #121. While you’re in the area, BigRoad will be at booth #205.
4. American Trucking Associations Management Conference & Exhibition
This is one of the last stops before the ELD mandate deadline. From October 21st-24th, the FMCSA will be at the American Trucking Associations Management Conference and Exhibition. While there is no information posted yet on their presentation or booth number, pay the BigRoad team a visit at booth #126.
5. Women in Trucking Accelerate Conference and Exhibition
In Kansas City, Missouri, this November 6th-8th, the FMCSA will be making its final stop on the ELD Implementation Tour at the Women in Trucking Accelerate Conference and Exhibition. The conference will be held at Sheraton Kansas City Hotel at Crown Center.
